My collaboration with Canon has been great! After spending 3 solid weeks filming “Hiding Place” and working with my new T5i, I wanted to share my favourite camera features that made the process so smooth.

Not only does this camera capture incredible photographs it also does a pretty sweet job with high definition movie shooting. I love being able to switch from regular shooting mode to film mode with just one switch.

The flip screen has become a lifesaver when I’m shooting a process film. With the flip screen I can see exactly how the shot is going to turn out. No more running around to the back of the camera to see if I got the shot right.

The touch focus has worked wonders for me. While I’m shooting a movie I’ll move around, a lot. With my T2i I always had to make sure that I was standing in the same place so the camera would remain focused. With the T5i I just have to touch the screen to tell it to focus on that space and it will make sure it stays focused, even when I’m moving around.
